Something More (Train Song)
"Something More" is the second single from Train's second album, ''Drops of Jupiter''. The music video for the song was originally to be directed by Nick Brandt, who had completed it, but it was deemed inappropriate by the band's label after the 9/11 attacks due to it being shot around a skyscraper. The second music video was directed by Marc Smerling, his second of three Train music videos, and took place in an Arizona desert. Train is an American pop rock band from San Francisco which was formed in 1993. As of 2022 the band consists of Pat Monahan (lead vocals), Taylor Locke (guitar, vocals), Hector Maldonado (bass, vocals), Jerry Becker (keyboards, guitar), Matt Musty (drums), Sakai Smith (backup vocals), and Nikita Houston (backup vocals). ''Drops of Jupiter'' is the second studio album by American pop rock band Train, released in 2001. The album's title is derived from "Drops of Jupiter (Tell Me)", its lead single, which was a hit internationally and won the Grammy Award for Best Rock Song. The album contains elements of rock, country and indie rock. Marc Smerling is an American film producer, screenwriter, cinematographer, and director. He was nominated for an Oscar for '' Capturing the Friedmans'' in 2003, and co-wrote and produced '' The Jinx'', a six-part HBO documentary on suspected murderer Robert Durst. He directed the FX docuseries '' A Wilderness of Error'' based on the book of the same name. Education Smerling attended S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and has earned a Master of Arts degree in film production from University of Southern California. Nick Brandt (born 1964) is an English photographer. Brandt's work generally focuses on the rapidly disappearing natural world, as a result of environmental destruction, climate change and humans' actions. Background and early career Born in 1964 and raised in London, England, Brandt studied Painting, and then Film at Saint Martin's School of Art. He moved to California in 1992 and directed many award-winning music videos for the likes of Michael Jackson (" Earth Song", "Stranger in Moscow", " One More Chance"), Moby (" Porcelain"), Jewel ("Hands"), XTC (" Dear God") among others. It was in 1995 while directing "Earth Song" in Tanzania that Brandt fell in love with the animals and land of East Africa.
