SOMA (architects)
SOMA is a New York City, New York–based firm of architects founded in 2004, with a portfolio and expertise in refurbishment and sustainability. In 2009, it opened another office in Beirut, Lebanon, where the principal and founder Michel Abboud, was born. SOMA’s work, mainly in New York City, Dubai, Qatar, Erbil, and Lebanon, covers projects across several industries. SOMA architects designed the controversial Park51 Islamic Cultural Center in Manhattan, New York, dubbed the "Ground Zero mosque", the designs to which they unveiled in October 2010. ''Node'' is the third studio album by Australian heavy metal band Northlane. It was released on 24 July 2015 through UNFD and Rise. It was produced by Will Putney and recorded at Graphic Nature Audio in Belleville, New Jersey. This is the first album to feature vocalist Marcus Bridge after the departure of Adrian Fitipaldes in 2014. It also marks the group's first slight departure from their heavier metalcore roots and towards a more alternative and experimental sound. "Soma", originally called "Coma", is a song by the American alternative rock band the Smashing Pumpkins. An extended power ballad with facets of psychedelic rock, the track serves as the centerpiece of the band's second album, which the group released in July 1993 and titled '' Siamese Dream''. Overview The song-writing credits list James Iha and Billy Corgan as co-authors, but Corgan claims that Iha only wrote the chord structure for the beginning of the song, and that Corgan himself wrote the rest. The song is said to have included up to 40 overdubbed guitar tracks. Corgan says the song "is based on the idea that a love relationship is almost the same as opium: it slowly puts you to sleep, it soothes you, and gives you the illusion of sureness and security." Matthew "Matt" Preston, professionally known Phaeleh (pronounced "fella") is a multi-instrumentalist, producer and DJ residing in Bristol, England. He has stated that his performing name has no specific meaning. He produces music that could be loosely described as cinematic electronica, but his roots are in dubstep, garage and house. He describes it as "electronic bass music" with a heavy emphasis on melody and emotional content.
