Solvær
The Solvær islands ( Solværøyene) are a group of islands in the municipality of Lurøy in Nordland county, Norway. They are located between the islands of Lovund to the west and Onøya to the east. The islands are located about a 90-minute ferry ride west of the mainland. Due to the Gulf Stream, the climate is mild, with little snow despite its northern location. The group consists of about 300 small and flat islands, some of which have permanent residents living on them. Some of the main, inhabited islands include Sleneset, Moflaget, Slotterøya, Straumøya, Nord-Solvær, and Sør-Solvær. The main village area is Sleneset, which is also the port at which the local ferries stop on the way from Stokkvågen (on the mainland) to the islands of Lovund and Træna to the west. Moflag Church, located on the island Moflaget, is the local church for the islands. The Solvaer Islands has the highest densities of Eurasian eagle-owls in Europe. Lovund
Lovund is an island and village in the municipality of Lurøy in Nordland county, Norway. The island is located west of the Solvær islands and southeast of the Træna islands. Lovund is notable for the large puffin breeding colony located on the rocky north slope of the island. Eurasian Eagle-owl
The Eurasian eagle-owl (''Bubo bubo'') is a species of eagle-owl that resides in much of Palearctic, Eurasia. Onøya
Onøya is an island in Lurøy Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The island lies immediately south of the island of Lurøya and southwest of the island of Stigen. The island is connected to Lurøya by a short bridge. Onøya sits just west of the mouth of the Sjona fjord. It is only accessible by boat. The highest point on the island is the tall mountain Stokksvikfjellet. In 2017, there were 279 residents of the island. Træna is a municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is part of the Helgeland traditional region. The administrative centre of the municipality is the island/village of Husøya. Other population centres include Selvær and Sanna. Fishing is the economic mainstay of Træna. Connections to mainland Norway are by means of boat and ferry. Moflag Church ( no, Moflag kirke) is a chapel of the Church of Norway in Lurøy Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is located in the island village of Moflaget. It is an annex chapel in the Lurøy parish which is part of the Nord-Helgeland prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Sør-Hålogaland. The white, wooden chapel was built in a long church style in 1921 using plans drawn up by the architect Harald J. Hansen. The chapel seats about 150 people.
