Solal
Solal (real name Laurent Morhain), born on September 29, 1962, in Lorient, is a French singer, known for his roles in musical theatre. Biography Solal was discovered by Michel Sardou in 1985, and he obtained his first contract with the label Tréma two years later. In the 1990s, he played the role of Ziggy in Michel Berger's '' Starmania''. In 2000, he played Tristan in the musical ''Tristan et Yseult'' by Pierre Cardin, and was featured on the cast recording. In 2008, he was cast as Leopold Mozart in ''Mozart, l'opéra rock'', produced by Dove Attia and Albert Cohen. On the album, he performs the songs "J'accuse mon père", "Quand le rideau tombe", and "Penser l'impossible". ''Mozart, l'opéra rock'' ("Mozart, the rock opera") is a French musical with music by Dove Attia, Jean-Pierre Pilot, Olivier Schultheis, William Rousseau, Nicolas Luciani, Rodrigue Janois and François Castello, lyrics by Vincent Baguian and Patrice Guirao and a book by Attia and François Chouquet. The show is a dramatization of the life of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart beginning from the age of 17 and culminating with his death in 1791 at the age of 35. Michel Charles Sardou (; born 26 January 1947) is a French singer and occasional actor. He is known not only for his love songs ("La maladie d'amour", "Je vais t'aimer"), but also for songs dealing with various social and political issues, such as the rights of women in Islamic countries ("Musulmanes"), clerical celibacy ("Le curé"), colonialism ("Le temps des colonies", "Ils ont le pétrole mais c'est tout") or the death penalty ("Je suis pour"). Michel Jean Hamburger (28 November 1947 – 2 August 1992), known professionally as Michel Berger, was a French singer and songwriter. He was a figure of France's pop music scene for two decades as a singer. As a songwriter he wrote for artists such as his wife France Gall, Françoise Hardy or Johnny Hallyday. He died of a heart attack at age 44. ''Starmania'' is a Canadian- French rock opera written in 1976 with music by Michel Berger and book and lyrics by Luc Plamondon. It debuted in 1978 with a studio recording of the songs, before premiering on stage in 1979. An English-language studio version was also produced in 1992, with lyrics by Sir Tim Rice. Pierre Cardin (born Pietro Costante Cardin; 2 July 1922 – 29 December 2020) was an Italian-born naturalised-French fashion designer. He is known for what were his avant-garde style and Space Age designs. He preferred geometry, geometric shapes and motifs, often ignoring the female form.
