Sola Jonsen
DumDum Boys are a Norwegian rock band from Trondheim, formed in 1979 and originally known as Wannskrækk. The band is one of the most successful Norwegian rock acts of all time, and are considered one of the "big four" bands who popularized modern rock with Norwegian lyrics in the 1980s alongside Jokke & Valentinerne, Raga Rockers and DeLillos. History 1979–1985: Formation and early years DumDum Boys was formed in Trondheim in the late 1970s as a punk rock act under the name Wannskrækk by guitarist Kjartan Kristiansen and bassist Per Christian "Persi" Iveland, with vocalist Per Øivind "Prepple" Houmb joining in 1979 and drummer Sola Jonsen in 1982. The band was inspired by other Norwegian acts such as Lasse Myrvold and The Aller Værste!, who pioneered punk rock with Norwegian lyrics. Oslo ( or ; ) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. 2011 Norway Attacks
The 2011 Norway attacks, also called 22 July () or 22/7 in Norway, were two domestic terrorism, domestic terrorist attacks by far-right politics, far-right extremist Anders Behring Breivik against the politics of Norway, government, the civilian population, and a Workers' Youth League (Norway), Workers' Youth League (AUF) summer camp, in which a total of 77 people were killed. The first attack was a car bomb explosion in Oslo within Regjeringskvartalet, the executive government quarter of Norway, at 15:25:22 (Central European Summer Time, CEST). Norwegian Wood was an annual music festival in Oslo, Norway, held in Frognerbadet. The name of the festival refers to the Beatles song "Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)". History Norwegian Wood was initiated in 1992 by Jørgen Roll, Sten Fredriksen and Haakon Hartvedt. The first two festivals were held on Bærums Verk in Bærum, but the festival was moved to Frognerbadet in 1994. The Spellemann of the Year () is a traveling trophy awarded each year during the Spellemannprisen. The award goes to a Norwegian artist or group that has distinguished itself in particular in the past year. The winner is chosen on an open basis by a special jury. The award was first awarded during the Spellemannprisen 1985 in 1986, and then went to A-ha. Background Unlike most other Spellemann awards, where a professional jury selects a winner from the artists entered, a special jury selects the winner of the Spellemann of the Year on an arbitrary basis. ''Døden på Oslo S'' (meaning "''The death at Oslo Central Station"'') is a Norwegian film released in 1990. Set in Oslo in the late eighties, it is based on a book by Ingvar Ambjørnsen from his series '' Pelle og Proffen''. It was the highest-grossing Norwegian film of the year. Plot The film is about the two teenage boys, Pelle and Proffen, who try to help Pelle's girlfriend, Lena, overcome a drug problem. She is only 15 years old, and they initially meet at a snack bar in downtown Oslo. She has been abused by a social worker at a home for troubled teens. While they try to help Lena she runs away, they get beat up, and watch people overdose at the central train station in Oslo. The film deals with issues including drugs, troubled teens and their parents, and child pornography.
