Sokon Group (officially Chongqing Sokon Industry Group Co., Ltd) is a Chinese company founded in September 1986 with headquarters in Chongqing, China. Born as a manufacturer of components for household appliances and shock absorbers, it currently produces cars, motorcycles and commercial vehicles as well as shock absorbers and internal combustion engines. It operates through its subsidiaries DFSK Motor, Seres, XGJAO Motorbyke and Yu'an Shock Absorber Company. Dongfeng Sokon Automobile () known internationally as DFSK Motor, is a joint venture between Dongfeng and Chongqing Sokon Industry Group Co Ltd., formed on June 27th, 2003. DFSK produces microvans, flat-bed commercial trucks and passenger vehicles under the Xiaokang brand and sport utility vehicle under the Fengguang (''Fengon'' in English) and Glory brands. Seres (formerly called SF Motors, Chongqing Jinkang New Energy Automobile) is an electric vehicle and component manufacturer headquartered in Santa Clara, California. The company, which is a subsidiary of Chongqing Sokon Industry Group, has established several R&D facilities and is in the process of designing and producing a U.S.-based, electric vehicle line. The company has delayed launching a US product and laid off hundreds of workers, including 90 people at its design studio. The company is partnering with a number of automotive and tech suppliers. The Fengon 580 is a mid-size crossover SUV produced by the Chinese automaker DFSK Motor (joint venture between Dongfeng Motor and Sokon) since 2016. Originally sold as the Dongfeng Fengguang 580 (), the 580 was also rebadged under a few different brand names that translates to Fengguang in Chinese, including Glory for oversea markets and Fengon in later model years after the Dongfeng Fengguang brand became a further independent brand.
