Sohan River
Soan River (; ), also Sawan, or Sohan, is a river in Punjab, Pakistan. It originates from the Murree Hills and joins the Indus River near Makhad. Oldest evidence of human activity in Pakistan has been found in the Soan River valley. The Soan Valley area is believed to have originated during the Stone Age. Location and geography The Soan River drains much of the water of the Pothohar Plateau. It starts in the foothills of Patriata in Murree and provides water to the Simly Dam, which is a water reservoir for Islamabad. Near Pharwala Fort, Ling Stream, following a relatively long course through Lehtrar and Kahuta, joins the Soan near Sihala on the southern side of village Gagri. The Soan river is more than long. The Kalabagh Dam () is a proposed hydroelectric dam on the Indus River at Kalabagh in the Mianwali District of Punjab, Pakistan. Korang River
The Korang River is a stream in the Pothohar region of Punjab, Pakistan. It is fed by water from streams located in Murree Hills, and flows towards Islamabad. Korang Stream, along with some other small streams coming from Margalla Hills, has been set to form the artificial Rawal Lake in Islamabad. Korang River is the outlet stream of Rawal Dam. Islamabad Expressway
The Islamabad Expressway (), sometimes also referred to as Islamabad Highway, is a major north–south expressway in Islamabad, Capital Territory, Pakistan. The expressway provides quick access between the Islamabad and Rawalpindi, Punjab, connecting the national capital with the N-5 National Highway. It stretches from Zero Point Interchange with the Srinagar Highway in Islamabad to Rawat, Islamabad Capital Territory on the N-5 National Highway. The total length of the expressway is , with lanes varying from six to ten. In 2007, the Capital Development Authority proposed to build three new interchanges on the highway at Koral Chowk, Lehtrar Road and Dhok Kala Khan Road to make it signal free.
