Ṣuhayb Ibn Sinan
Ṣuhayb ibn Sinān al-Rumi (; , , born c. 592), also spelled Sohaib, was an originally Arab former slave in the Byzantine Empire who grew up speaking Greek, and went on to become an early companion of Prophet Muhammad and member of the early Muslim community. Early life Around the year 591, about twenty years before the commencement of Muhammad's mission, a man named Sinan ibn Malik governed the city of al-Uballah on behalf of the Persian emperor (perhaps Khosrow II). The city, which is now part of Basra, lay on the banks of the Euphrates near Mosul. He had several children and was particularly fond of one of them who was then barely five years old with red hair and named Suhayb (meaning red-head, ginger). His family was from a village called ath-Thani. ath-Thani was attacked by Byzantine soldiers who took a large number of prisoners, including Suhayb. Sohaib Abbasi
Sohaib Abbasi (born August 14, 1956) is a Pakistani–American business executive, computer scientist and philanthropist. He is the former chairman and chief executive of Informatica, having served in the roles from 2004 until 2015. He was also a member of the executive committee of Oracle Corporation and led Oracle Tools and Oracle Education as senior vice president. He retired from these roles in 2003 after 20 years with the company. Abbasi joined the board of directors for the software company, Red Hat Inc. in 2011. Ṣuhaib Al-Rawi
Suhaib al-Rawi (; born 1966) is an Iraqi politician and the former Governor of Anbar until August 2017. He is a member of the Iraqi Islamic Party. Political career On 23 December 2014, the Anbar Provincial Council voted in al-Rawi as the next Governor of the province. 18 out of the 30 members of the council voted for al-Rawi during a meeting held in Baghdad. Previously, on 13 December, the council had voted to make al-Rawi's predecessor, Ahmad Khalaf al-Dulaimi, retire due to injuries he had received.
