Sofía Montserrat Aragón Torres (born 13 February 1994) is a Mexican model, television presenter, author, and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Mexicana Universal 2019. She represented Mexico at the Miss Universe 2019 competition, where she placed as the second runner-up. Personal life Aragón was born on 13 February 1994 in Guadalajara, Jalisco. Aragón later lived in the city of Zapopan, located within the Guadalajara metropolitan area. In the past, Aragón struggled with depression and had contemplated suicide. She has since become an advocate for mental health awareness and suicide prevention, working with the organization Sonrisas Reales as a public speaker and writer. ''La Voz'' (Spanish for ''The Voice'') is a Mexican singing competition television series broadcast on Azteca Uno. The show originally premiered September 11, 2011 on Las Estrellas. It is based on the format of ''The Voice of Holland'' originated in the Netherlands and part of the international franchise ''The Voice'' created by television producer John de Mol. Mexico was the first Spanish-speaking country to adapt this format and the first among 6 globally. Alma Andrea Meza Carmona (born 13 August 1994) is a Mexican model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Universe 2020. Mexicana Universal is a national beauty pageant in Mexico held annually since 2018, replacing the former pageant, Nuestra Belleza México, held since 1994. Currently, the pageant is responsible for selecting the country’s delegates to Miss Universe, Miss International, Reina Hispanoamericana, Miss Charm International, and Nuestra Latinoamericana Universal.
