Sofie Stange Cappelen (born February 2, 1982) is a Norwegian actress. Biography Cappelen began her career as a child actor. She was a member of the Jorunn Kirkenær Children's Ballet, and made several TV appearances as a dancer and actor, including on NRK in the 1989 Christmas series ' and in the children's show '. At the age of 11, she made her stage debut at the National Theatre of Norway in Sverre Brandt's '' Reisen til Julestjernen''. Cappelen is a German-origined Norwegian family. Johan von Cappelen immigrated to Norway in 1653, and became bailiff in Lier. A number of his descendants were businessmen, land owners, civil servants and politicians. The family is especially known for the former publishing company J.W. Cappelens Forlag. Variants of the name Cappelen are also used throughout Germany by many other families. Peder Wright Cappelen (18 January 1931 – 4 January 1992) was a Norwegian playwright, non-fiction writer and publisher. Personal life Cappelen was born in Bærum to publisher Jørgen Wright Cappelen and Ragni Holm Johannessen.
