International Red Aid (also commonly known by its Russian acronym MOPR) was an international social service , social-service organization. The Workers' Party of Marxist Unification (, POUM; , POUM) was a Spanish communist party formed during the Second Spanish Republic, Second Republic and mainly active around the Spanish Civil War. Joaquín Arderíus y Sánchez Fortún (May 5, 1885, Lorca, in Murcia – January 20, 1969, Mexico City) was a Spanish experimental and political novelist. Arderíus studied in Madrid before taking engineering courses at the University of Liège. He abandoned these studies to dedicate himself to literature and leftist politics, and was jailed many times for his revolutionary activities during the dictatorship of Miguel Primo de Rivera.
