Social science fiction in Poland or sociological science fiction is a subgenre of science fiction that falls within the scope of social science fiction. Limes inferior (Latin for ''lower limit'') is a social science fiction dystopian novel written in 1982 by the Polish author Janusz A. Zajdel. Edward Gierek (; 6 January 1913 – 29 July 2001) was a Polish communist politician who served as the '' de facto'' leader of the Polish People's Republic between 1970 and 1980.
