Sobu International Open
The Kirin Open was a golf tournament in Japan. It was founded in 1972 as the season ending event on the Asia Golf Circuit, replacing the Yomiuri International which had been cancelled when sponsors decided to discontinue the event. It was also a fixture on the Japan Golf Tour from 1974 until 2001. It was played at Sobu Country Club in Inzai until 1976. Hirofumi Miyase
Hirofumi Miyase (, born 11 April 1971) is a Japanese professional golfer. Miyase was born in Chiba Prefecture and would join the Japan Golf Tour after turning professional. He won his first title on the Japan Golf Tour in 1997 and would add six more wins between then and 2007. In 2004, Miyase played on the PGA Tour in the United States after finishing T28 at qualifying school. He made only five cuts in 27 starts and lost his tour card. His best finish was a T9 at the FedEx St. Jude Classic. Shigeki Maruyama
Shigeki Maruyama (丸山茂樹, ''Maruyama Shigeki''; born 12 September 1969) is a Japanese professional golfer. Early life Maruyama was born in Ichikawa, Japan, near Tokyo. He attended Nihon University. Professional career In 1992, he turned professional. He is known for his ever-present smile on the golf course which has given rise to his nickname of the "Smiling Assassin." He began his career on the Japan Golf Tour, quickly becoming one of the leading players on that tour. Two excellent finishes in World Golf Championships events in 1999 helped to earn him membership of the U.S.-based PGA Tour for the 2000 season. He has three PGA Tour victories. Kim Jong-duck (; born 4 June 1961) is a South Korean professional golfer. Kim played on the Asia Golf Circuit in the mid-1990s, winning for the first time at the Maekyung Open in 1994. Brian Watts
Brian Peter Watts (born March 18, 1966) is an American professional golfer. Early life and amateur career Watts was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada to European parents, but is now a U.S. citizen who lives in Texas. He played college golf at Oklahoma State and won the NCAA Division I Championship in 1987 and was a member of the team that won the 1987 NCAA Division I Team Championship. Hidemichi Tanaka
is a Japanese professional golfer. Career Tanaka was born in Hiroshima Prefecture. He turned professional in 1991, joined the Japan Golf Tour in 1995 and played mainly on that tour until 2001. Frankie Miñoza
Francisco "Frankie" Miñoza (born 29 December 1959) is a Filipino professional golfer. Miñoza has played extensively in Asia, winning a number of tournaments on the leading Asian and Japanese tours in addition to many lesser events on the local circuits, especially in the Philippines and Malaysia.
