Sobhan Khaghani
Sobhan Khaghani (born 27 January 2000) is an Iranian footballer who plays for Iranian club Zob Ahan as a winger. Club career Esteghlal He joined Esteghlal in the summer of 2020. He scored his first goal for the club on his first start against Shahr Khodro on 13 December 2020. On 20 July 2021 he scored his second goal for the club against Naft Masjed Soleyman F.C. This goal is 900th goal in the Esteghlal history. International career Khaghani represented Iran U17 at the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup in India. Mashhad
Mashhad ( fa, مشهد, Mašhad ), also spelled Mashad, is the second-most-populous city in Iran, located in the relatively remote north-east of the country about from Tehran. It serves as the capital of Razavi Khorasan Province and has a population of 3,001,184 (2016 census), which includes the areas of Mashhad Taman and Torqabeh. The city has been governed by different ethnic groups over the course of its history. Mashhad was once a major oasis along the ancient Silk Road connecting with Merv to the east. It enjoyed relative prosperity in the Mongol period. The city is named after the shrine of Imam Reza, the eighth Shia Imam, who was buried in a village in Khorasan which afterward gained the name, meaning the "place of martyrdom". 2022 Iranian Super Cup
The 2022 Iranian Super Cup was the 8th Iranian Super Cup, an annual football match played between the winners of the previous season's Persian Gulf Pro League, Esteghlal, and the previous season's Hazfi Cup, Nassaji. It was played on 2 November 2022 at the Shahid Bahonar Stadium, Kerman. Esteghlal Tehran defeated Nassaji 1–0 to win their first title. Iranian Super Cup
The Iranian Super Cup ( Persian: سوپر جام ایران, ''Super Jam-e 'Iran'') is an Iranian association football trophy awarded to the winner of a match between the Persian Gulf Pro League's season champion and the winner of the Hazfi Cup. It is similar to numerous other Super Cup tournaments held in other countries. The tournament was only held once in 2005 when Hazfi Cup champions Saba Battery defeated league champions Foolad 4–0. The next edition of the Iranian Super Cup was planned to be played on 10 August 2007 between the 2006–07 league champions Saipa and the Hazfi Cup winners Sepahan but the match was cancelled. After Mehdi Taj was elected as Federation president in 2016, the Iranian Super Cup was restarted. Zob Ahan won the first Super Cup after its restart, beating 2015–16 Persian Gulf Pro League winners Esteghlal Khuzestan 4–2 after extra time. The 2022–23 Hazfi Cup is the 36th season of the Iranian football knockout competition. The champion of this competition will get a license to participate in the Super Cup and the AFC Champions League next season. Nassaji is the defending champion of this season's Iranian Hazfi Cup as they defeat Aluminium Arak in last season's final match. Qualified teams A total of 96 teams are eligible to participate in the 2022–23 Hazfi Cup according to competition regulations. The teams were divided into four main groups: Teams of Pro league, Azadegan league, 2nd Division, Provincial Leagues. The 2021 Hazfi Cup was the 34th season of the Iranian football knockout competition. Foolad F.C., Foolad won the competition after deafiting Esteghlal F.C., Esteghlal in the final. The Persian Gulf Pro League ( fa, لیگ برتر خلیج فارس, ''Lig-e Bartar-e Xalij-e Fârs''), formerly known as the Iran Pro League ( fa, links=no, لیگ برتر ایران, ''Lig-e bartar-e Irân''), is the highest division of professional football in Iran. It is the top-level football league in Iran since its foundation. Each year, its top team becomes the Iranian football champion, and the two lowest finishers are relegated to Azadegan League.
