Cyril Rutherford "Snuffy" Browne (8 October 1890 – 12 January 1964) was a Barbadian Test cricketer who was a member of the first West Indies cricket team, West Indies Test cricket team, playing against England in 1928. Browne was born in Robert's Tenantry, Saint Michael, Barbados, St Michael, Barbados. A right-arm Medium pace bowling, medium pace bowler and right-handed batsman, he played first-class cricket for Barbados national cricket team, Barbados and Guyana national cricket team, British Guiana in a career that extended from 1909 to 1938. DeWitt "Snuffy" Jenkins (October 27, 1908 – April 29, 1990) was an American old time banjo player and an early proponent of the three-finger banjo style. Biography Jenkins was born in Harris, North Carolina,Trischka, Tony, "Sonny Osborne", ''Banjo Song Book'', Oak Publications, 1977 as the last of ten children. George Henry "Snuffy" Stirnweiss (October 26, 1918 – September 15, 1958) was an American professional baseball second baseman. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) between 1943 and 1952, spending most of his MLB career with the New York Yankees, and spending his last couple of seasons playing with the St. Louis Browns and the Cleveland Indians. A batting champion in 1945 and a two-time All-Star, he played a role with three different World Series championship squads during his time in New York. Snuffy's Malt Shop is an American restaurant chain with three locations in the Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota metropolitan area. The restaurants have a '50s hamburger malt shop theme, complete with checkered red and white tablecloths and red and white striped awnings. As of September 2024, Snuffy's operates three restaurants, in Bloomington, Edina, and Minnetonka, Minnesota. Snuffy's menu consists primarily of burgers, and shakes/malts in a wide variety of flavors, along with traditional hamburger shop side dishes such as fries and onion rings. In October 2010 the St. Paul Pioneer Press reported that Snuffy's had added cheese curds to the menu at the then-Roseville, Minnesota location.
