Cyril Rutherford "Snuffy" Browne (8 October 1890 – 12 January 1964) was a West Indian Test cricketer who was a member of the first West Indies Test cricket team, playing against England in 1928. Browne was born in Robert's Tenantry, St Michael, Barbados. A right-arm medium pace bowler and right-handed batsman, he played first-class cricket for Barbados and British Guiana in a career that extended from 1909 to 1938. His best bowling figures were 5 for 77 and 8 for 58 for British Guiana against Barbados in 1925–26. His highest score was 103, scored in an hour, and the only century in the match, when the touring West Indians beat Kent in 1928.''Wisden'' 1965, p. 964. DeWitt "Snuffy" Jenkins (October 27, 1908 – April 29, 1990) was an American old time banjo player and an early proponent of the three-finger banjo style. Biography Jenkins was born in Harris, North Carolina,Trischka, Tony, "Sonny Osborne", ''Banjo Song Book'', Oak Publications, 1977 as the last of ten children. George Henry "Snuffy" Stirnweiss (October 26, 1918 – September 15, 1958) was an American professional baseball second baseman. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) between 1943 and 1952, spending most of his MLB career with the New York Yankees, and spending his last couple of seasons playing with the St. Louis Browns and the Cleveland Indians. A batting champion in 1945 and a two-time All-Star, he played a role with three different World Series championship squads during his time in New York. Snuffy's Malt Shop is an American restaurant chain with four locations in the Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota metropolitan area. The restaurants have a '50s hamburger malt shop theme, complete with checkered red and white tablecloths and red and white striped awnings. As of March 2011, Snuffy's operated four restaurants, in St. Paul, Roseville, Edina, and Minnetonka, Minnesota. Snuffy's menu consists primarily of burgers, and shakes/malts in a wide variety of flavors, along with traditional hamburger shop side dishes such as fries and onion rings. In October 2010 the St. Paul Pioneer Press reported that Snuffy's had added cheese curds to the menu at the Roseville, Minnesota location.
