Alan Snoddy
Alan Gordon Snoddy (born 29 March 1955) is a retired Northern Irish football referee, known for having refereed two matches in the FIFA World Cup: one in 1986 and one in 1990. At the 1986 World Cup Snoddy was appointed to referee the game between Morocco and Portugal in Guadalajara which ended 3–1 to Morocco. In the 1990 World Cup Snoddy refereed the game between Colombia and West Germany which ended 1–1 at the San Siro in Milan. Snoddy served as Referee Development Officer for the Irish Football Association a position which he left in 2014 although he still works as a Referee Observer for both the Irish Football Association (IFA) and UEFA. He is also a member of the UEFA Referee Convention Panel and is widely used in assisting countries develop their refereeing structures. Matthew Raymond Snoddy OBE, born , commonly known as Raymond Snoddy, is a British news media journalist, television presenter, author and media commentator. From its inception in 2004, until January 2013, he was the original and sole presenter of the BBC News 24's weekly viewer right-to-reply programme '' NewsWatch''. Snoddy started his journalistic career writing for a number of publications on issues relating to the news industry, and continues in this vein. Life and career Born in Larne, County Antrim, Northern Ireland, Snoddy was educated at Larne Grammar School, and Queen's University in Belfast. After university, he worked on local and regional newspapers, before joining ''The Times'' in 1971. Stephen Snoddy (born 1959) is a British artist and gallery director. Career Snoddy trained as a painter at Belfast College of Art where he graduated in 1983 with an MA in Fine Art. Snoddy moved to Manchester in 1986 and graduated with a Postgraduate Diploma in Art Gallery & Museum Studies from the University of Manchester in 1987 and then moved to Bristol to become Exhibitions Organiser at Arnolfini Gallery. He worked from 1987 to 1991 on an exhibition programme that included solo exhibitions by Richard Long, Giuseppe Penone, Gillian Ayres, Rachel Whiteread, Vong Phaophanit, Jannis Kounellis: ''Drawings'', Jack B. Aengus Ó Snodaigh
Aengus Ó Snodaigh (; born 31 July 1964) is an Irish Sinn Féin politician, author and historian who has been a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Dublin South-Central constituency since the 2002 general election. Early and personal life A Dubliner and Irish language speaker, he attended school at Scoil Lorcáin and Coláiste Eoin, before studying at University College Dublin (UCD). Ó Snodaigh joined Sinn Féin while at university, where he was active in student politics, in 1983. He completed a Bachelor of Arts in History and Geography, and a Higher Diploma in Education. Having secured his teaching qualifications, he went on to teach at secondary level and as a literacy teacher in Dublin's inner city. He is also the editor of ''Fealsúnacht, Feall agus Fuil'' which is a collection of historical essays concentrating on the 1798 Rebellion and several pamphlets on aspects of Irish republican history.
