"Smokin' in the Boys Room" is a song originally recorded by Brownsville Station in 1973 on their album '' Yeah!''. The song is about students hoping to avoid being caught violating their school's smoking ban by smoking cigarettes in the boys' restroom. Brownsville Station is an American rock band from Michigan popular in the 1970s. Original members included Cub Koda (guitarist/vocalist), Mike Lutz (guitarist/vocalist), T.J. Cronley (drummer), and Tony Driggins (bassist/vocals). Later members included Henry "H-Bomb" Weck (drummer) and Bruce Nazarian (guitarist/vocalist). Tom Werman (born 1945) is an American record producer responsible for many hard rock and heavy metal albums. Early life and education Werman was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and grew up in Newton. He earned a bachelor's degree and an MBA from Columbia University; Producing career In 1970, bored with his work in advertising, Tom Werman sent a letter to Clive Davis at CBS Records and landed a job at Epic Records as an A&R man.
