The Smiler is a steel roller coaster located at Alton Towers in Staffordshire, United Kingdom. The Infinity Coaster model from Gerstlauer set a world record for most Roller coaster inversion, inversions on a roller coaster when it opened in 2013, featuring 14 inversions that include dive loops, Sidewinder (roller coaster element), sidewinders, Corkscrew (roller coaster element), corkscrews, and other inverting elements. The ride was constructed in the X-Sector area of the park and underwent an extensive advertising campaign, during which it was codenamed Secret Weapon 7 (SW7). Smilers
Smilers is an Estonian rock band formed in 1991 by Hendrik Sal-Saller. The name reportedly originated from a Rod Stewart album, '' Smiler''. The band was first named Lezer Brozers. In the early years Smilers produced two albums in Finland, but as these were not successful, they returned to Estonia and gained fame soon after. Smilers won the Artist of the Year award in the 2004 Estonian Music Awards. Smilers were also awarded a Golden Disc for Song of the Year in 2004 for " Ainult unustamiseks". ''Smiler'' is the fifth solo album by English rock singer-songwriter Rod Stewart. It was released September 27, 1974 by Mercury Records. It reached number 1 in the UK album chart, and number 13 in the US. The album included covers of Chuck Berry, Sam Cooke and Bob Dylan songs, as well as a duet with Elton John of John's song "Let Me Be Your Car". Stewart also covered Carole King's "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman" where 'Woman' is switched to 'Man'. Smilers is the name given to Britain's personalised stamps. Personalised stamp sheets (or P-Stamps) were first issued by Australia Post in the summer of 1999. History Personalized stamp sheets were first issued by the Post Office (subsequently renamed Royal Mail) to coincide with The Stamp Show 2000, Britain's international stamp exhibition held in May 2000 at Earls Court. The "Smilers" A4-sized stamp sheets contained ten se-tenant "smiles" stamps with a generic label design. Joseph Nii Lante Bartlett-Vanderpuye, better known by his stage name Smiler, is a British rapper, who was born in London. Vanderpuye first entered the limelight after releasing an underground mixtape in 2009, as well as the single "Enza". After being spotted by a talent scout, Vanderpuye was signed to Warner Music UK, and released his debut single, "Delorean", featuring fellow rapper Wretch 32 in March 2012. Stephen Percy Harris (born 12 March 1956) is an English musician and songwriter, best known as the bassist, keyboardist, backing vocalist, primary songwriter, founder, and leader of heavy metal band Iron Maiden. He is the band's only constant member since their inception in 1975; along with guitarist Dave Murray, Harris appears on every album. Harris has a recognisable and popular style of bass playing, particularly the "gallop" which can be found on many Iron Maiden recordings, such as the singles " Run to the Hills" and "The Trooper".
