Smart Crew
Smart Crew is a supergroup and art collective originating from Queens, NY, that was formed by SYCO13, MEY (Meyhem Lauren) and LUK in 1997. Throughout the years, the crew has acquired members and has become a collective of various artists including DCEVE, KORN (Jeffrey Vanchiro, best known as Jeffrey Gamblero), Action Bronson, and SNOEMAN. Their crew logo consists of an Old English style "S" with the image of a graduation cap on top. They are known for their public art on trucks, walls and stickers seen all over the world. The crew is also known for their territorial wars in New York with the street artist Banksy. "The guys at Smart Crew, they're established. They could be marking their territory," Mr. Felisbret said. Ariyan Arslani (born December 2, 1983), professionally known as Action Bronson, is an American rapper and television presenter. Born and raised in Queens, he released his debut mixtape ''Bon Appetit ..... Bitch!!!!!'' in January 2011 and independently released his debut album, ''Dr. Lecter (album), Dr. Lecter'', in March 2011. In August 2012, Arslani signed his first major-label deal with Warner Bros. James Rencher (born May 14, 1983), known professionally as Meyhem Lauren, is an American rapper from Queens, New York. He is a founding member of the Smart Crew collective. He has collaborated with the likes of DJ Muggs, The Alchemist, and Harry Fraud. He stars in '' Fuck, That's Delicious'' with Action Bronson, The Alchemist, and Big Body Bes. Supergroup (music)
A supergroup is a musical group formed of members who are already successful as solo artists or as members of other successful groups. The term became popular in the late 1960s when members of already successful rock groups Collaborative_album, recorded albums together, after which they normally disbanded. Charity supergroups, in which prominent musicians perform or record together in support of a particular cause, have been common since the 1980s. Banksy
Banksy is a pseudonymous England-based street artist, political activist, and film director whose real name and identity remain unconfirmed and the subject of speculation. Active since the 1990s, his satirical street art and subversive epigrams combine black comedy, dark humour with graffiti executed in a distinctive Stencil graffiti, stenciling technique. His works of political and social commentary have appeared on streets, walls, and bridges throughout the world.
