Smaiylov Cabinet
The Smaiylov Cabinet is the 12th composition of the Government of Kazakhstan under the leadership of Prime Minister Alihan Smaiylov. It was formed after the previous government, led by Prime Minister Askar Mamin, was dismissed by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on 5 January 2022 as a result of the 2022 Kazakh protests. The membership of the cabinet was announced by the president on 11 January 2022. Eight of the 21 ministers of the previous cabinet were replaced. Formation On 5 January 2022, while in amidst of the nationwide instability, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev appointed Älihan Smaiylov to take over Prime Minister Asqar Mamin's role in leading the government temporarily as acting PM until a new composition would be formed. Mamin Cabinet
The Mamin Cabinet was the 11th composition of the Government of Kazakhstan under the leadership of Prime Minister Askar Mamin. It was formed after the previous government, led by Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev, was dismissed by President Nursultan Nazarbayev on 21 February 2019 as a result of the discontent in the 2019–20 Kazakh protests. Mamin, under Sagintayev, served as the First Deputy Prime Minister and was appointed as the Acting PM. He was officially confirmed by the Parliament on 25 February 2019, which formed a new cabinet. Mukhtar Beskenuly Tileuberdi ( kk, Мұхтар Бескенұлы Тілеуберді, ''Mūhtar Beskenūly Tıleuberdı'', ; born June 30, 1968) is a Kazakh statesman who served as Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan from 18 September 2019 until 29 March 2023. He also served as Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan in the Älihan Smaiylov. Early life and education Tileuberdi was born June 30, 1968, in the village of Aksu, Chimkent region. He graduated from Kirov Kazakh State University ( Al-Farabi Kazakh National University) majoring in philosophy. A mukhtar ( ar, مختار, mukhtār, chosen one; el, μουχτάρης) is a village chief in the Levant: "an old institution that goes back to the time of the Ottoman rule". According to Amir S. Cheshin, Bill Hutman and Avi Melamed, the mukhtar "for centuries were the central figures". Eraly Luqpanuly Togjanov (; born 13 May 1963) is a Kazakh politician who is Governor of Aktobe Region. Biography Early life and education Born in the village of Shagatai, Togjanov graduated in 1988 from Karagandy State University, majoring in law. In 1994 he graduated from the Kazakhstan Academy of Sciences. Career He began his career in 1980 as a worker in the Octyabrsky Forestry of the Ural Region. Älihan Ashanuly Smaiylov ( , , , ; russian: Алихан Асханович Смаилов, born 18 December 1972) is a Kazakh politician who is serving as Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.
