"Slow Burn" is the fourth and final single from Atreyu's fourth album ''Lead Sails Paper Anchor''. Due to "Doomsday" only being released in the UK, it is known as their third US single. Music video Atreyu held a contest on YouTube, for the winner to star in the "Slow Burn" music Video. The contestants were required to lip-sync part 1, 2, or 3 of the song. The contest began on June 27, 2008, and ended on July 13, 2008. Atreyu is an American metalcore band from Yorba Linda, California, formed in 1998. ''Lead Sails Paper Anchor'' is the fourth studio album by American metalcore band Atreyu. It is the band's first release with Hollywood Records, and the album had a significantly different sound to it than their previous albums, moving away from a metalcore-type sound, for the most part. The album was released on August 28, 2007. The first single was " Becoming the Bull". Brandon Kyle Saller (born June 24, 1983) is an American musician, singer and multi-instrumentalist. He is best known as the vocalist, keyboardist and former drummer of the metalcore band Atreyu, of which he is also a founding member. He is the band's primary songwriter, along with guitarist Dan Jacobs, as well as its clean vocalist. Following Atreyu's hiatus in 2011, Saller focused on his side project Hell or Highwater, where he is the lead vocalist. In 2011, the group released their debut album, ''Begin Again'', in 2011. Alex Varkatzas (born January 17, 1982) is an American musician, best known as the former lead vocalist of metalcore band Atreyu from its inception in 1998 until his departure from the band in 2020. In 2011, during the band's hiatus, Varkatzas also started a hardcore project with Bleeding Through vocalist Brandan Schieppati named I Am War. He is currently the vocalist for Dead Icarus. John William Feldmann (born June 29, 1967) is an American musician and record producer. He serves as the lead singer/guitarist of the punk rock band Goldfinger. Early life Feldmann grew up in Saratoga, California. He started writing songs around the age of 12. Around that time, he met the band Social Distortion, and was inspired to be like them. Career Feldmann's first band was Saratoga-based Family Crisis. In 1988, he moved to Los Angeles, where he formed the band Electric Love Hogs and met future Goldfinger bassist Kelly LeMieux.
