Slivnica Pri Mariboru
Slivnica pri Mariboru () is a settlement in the Municipality of Hoče–Slivnica in northeastern Slovenia. It lies under the eastern Pohorje Hills on the edge of the flatlands on the right bank of the Drava River south of Maribor. The A1 Motorway runs through the settlement and a major interchange with the A4 motorway is located just north of the settlement. The area is part of the traditional region of Lower Styria. The municipality is now included in the Drava Statistical Region. The local parish church is dedicated to the Nativity of Mary ( sl, Marijino Rojstvo) and belongs to the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Maribor. A4 Motorway (Slovenia)
The A4 motorway ( sl, avtocesta A4, Podravski krak) is a 33.4 km long motorway in Slovenia connecting Maribor and Gruškovje (at the Croatian border). A1 Motorway (Slovenia)
The A1 motorway ( sl, avtocesta A1), also known as Slovenika, is long, connecting Šentilj (at the Austrian border) and Koper/Capodistria (on the shores of the Adriatic Sea). It connects several of the largest metropolitan areas of the country, including Maribor, Celje and Ljubljana, all the way to the Slovenian Littoral and port town of Koper. Construction began in 1970 and the first section was finished in 1972, connecting Vrhnika and Postojna. Everyday operation of this initial stretch started on 29 December 1972.
