''Sleepwell Deconstructor'' is the first album by Trap Them, released on April 3, 2007 on Trash Art!. Like the last recorded output from core members Ryan McKenney and Brian Izzi, Backstabbers Inc's ''Kamikaze Missions'' (2003), ''Sleepwell Deconstructor'' is produced by Kurt Ballou. Illustration and design by Justin Bartlett. Track listing Reception ''Sleepwell Deconstructor'' has received mainly positive reviews, from many critics. Exclaim! magazine, ''Exclaim!'' magazine called the band "one of the fiercest, ugliest, most threatening malcontents around". ''Decibel (magazine), Decibel'' talked about the mix of styles on the album and were not quite sure what to make of it (though they did give a positive review). Despite some minor criticisms, ''Sleepwell Deconstructor'' was well-received for a debut album released on a small label with less reach than other indies. Hellride Music
Hellride is an American music group formed in the 1990s by guitarist Peter DiStefano, bassist Mike Watt, and drummer Stephen Perkins. Hellride is a side project to the musicians' other full-time bands (Watt is active as a solo artist and former member of Minutemen and Firehose; DiStefano and Perkins were members of Porno For Pyros, with whom Watt occasionally played). Hellride is exclusively a live band in the Los Angeles area, though fan recordings circulate with Watt and Perkins's blessing.See, for example,this 1998 concerton Archive.org Their entire set list is devoted to playing and reinterpreting the music of The Stooges in a jazz style inspired by iconic saxophonist John Coltrane.
