Skye Borgman
Skye Borgman is an American film director and cinematographer. She is best known for her work on the documentary film '' Abducted in Plain Sight''. Life and career Skye was born in Klamath Falls, Oregon. She was graduated from the Cornish College of the Arts and University of Southern California. She is a professor at the University of Southern California. Skye's debut documentary film ''Junk Dreams'', won the Best Documentary Award at the Bare Bones International Film Festival and Accolade Award of Excellence. In 2017, she premiered Abducted in Plain Sight, also known as ''Forever B'' and produced by Top Knot Films, at the Mammoth Lakes Film Festival, and the film was released by Netflix in 2019. Klamath Falls, Oregon
Klamath Falls ( ) is a city in and the county seat of Klamath County, Oregon, United States. The city was originally called ''Linkville'' when George Nurse founded the town in 1867. It was named after the Link River, on whose falls the city was sited. The name was changed to Klamath Falls in 1893. The population was 21,813 at the 2020 census. The city is on the southeastern shore of the Upper Klamath Lake located about northwest of Reno, Nevada, and approximately north of the California–Oregon border. Tallgrass Film Festival
The Tallgrass Film Festival is an annual film festival held in Wichita, Kansas, specializing in independent films. It was founded in 2003 by Timothy Gruver. Gruver was raised in Wichita. He studied filmmaking at Brigham Young University. After college, Gruver worked for the animation wing of Steven Spielberg's DreamWorks studio. Gruver had worked for other film festivals and modeled Tallgrass after the Telluride Film Festival. Tallgrass is operated by the non-profit organization Tallgrass Film Association. There were 190 features and shorts screened in 2012. The festival takes place at several locations in downtown Wichita including the Orpheum Theatre. In 2012, over 11,000 people attended. Since its creation in 2003, over 100,000 people have attended with approximately 200 filmmakers, actors and guests coming in for the festival from all over the world. Content ''Dead Asleep'' follows the case of Randy Herman Jr., who was convicted in 2019 of murdering his childhood friend and roommate Brooke Preston. Phoenix Film Festival is a festival that celebrates feature films and their creators. Started in 2000, the annual celebration takes place in the city of Phoenix, Arizona. The festival is a showcase for feature and short films from all over the world.
