Skydiggers are a Canadian roots rock band from Toronto formed by Andy Maize and Josh Finlayson. Since 1990, they have released 19 albums/EPs and have had a number of singles that have appeared on the Canadian charts. Their most successful album is ''Restless'', released in 1992. With a presence spanning decades, the band has appeared under a variety of different record labels and with many changes in members that form the group. The current group of six members released their most recent recording in 2017. Biography The band was originally formed by singer Andy Maize, previously of Direktive 17, and lead guitarist Josh Finlayson, formerly of The Ramblers, as a duo called West Montrose. Enigma Records (also known as Enigma Entertainment Corporation) was a popular rock and alternative American record label in the 1980s. History Enigma Records launched as a division of Greenworld Distribution, an independent music importer/distributor, in 1981. Four years later, in 1985, Enigma severed ties with Greenworld and became its own company. ''Restless'' is an album by the Canadian band Skydiggers, released in 1992. It was the band's most commercially successful release, and produced their biggest chart hit, "A Penny More". The band and album were nominated for two Juno Awards. In 1996, the album disappeared from Canadian record stores after the band's label, FRE Records, filed for bankruptcy. Although the band pursued litigation to win back the master tapes, they were not successful. As a result, in 1999, they released an alternate version of the album, '' Still Restless: The Lost Tapes''. Peter Cash
Peter Cash is a Canadian singer-songwriter. He was a member of Skydiggers from 1987 to 1996. After leaving that band, he began to write and record music with his brother, singer-songwriter Andrew Cash, which was released as The Cash Brothers The Cash Brothers are a Canadian alternative country/folk rock duo, based in Toronto, Ontario, consisting of brothers Andrew and Peter Cash.
