Skurup Municipality
Skurup Municipality (''Skurups kommun'') is a municipality in Skåne County in southern Sweden. Its seat is located in the town Skurup. It is considered part of Greater Malmö by Statistics Sweden. The present municipality was formed in 1971 when the market town (''köping'') of ''Skurup'' was merged with ''Rydsgård'' and ''Vemmenhög''. Sjöbo Municipality (''Sjöbo kommun'') is a municipality in Skåne County in southern Sweden. Its seat is located in the town Sjöbo. The present municipality was created in 1974 when the former market town (''köping'') ''Sjöbo'' was amalgamated with the surrounding rural municipalities. There are fifteen original entities within today's municipality. Geography The town of Sjöbo has flat terrain, with many small houses and three long straight streets stretching through it, leading to larger roads. Svaneholm Castle
Svaneholm Castle ( sv, Svaneholms slott) is located on the shore of Lake Svaneholmssjön in Skurup Municipality, Scania, Sweden. It has been used as a filming location including for the TV series ''Wallander''. History During the Middle Ages the residence was called ''Skurdorp'' (''Skudrup''), which was fortified and situated next to the parish church, where remains still can be seen. During the midst of the fifteenth century it was owned by guardsman Henning Meyenstorp (Meinstrup) and through marriage it later came to the possession of the Sparre-family. Approximately 1530 the residence was moved from Skurup to an islet in the Lake Svaneholmssjön, after that it was called Svaneholm.
