Skull And Dagger (honor Society)
Skull and Dagger Society is the oldest secret honor society at the University of Southern California. History Hallam H. Anderson and Cloyd H. Marvi founded Skull and Dagger Society at the University of Southern California in 1913. The Society is primarily for graduating seniors consisting of leaders, scholars, and student-athletes. Traditions The society is known for its tradition of secrecy and discretion, and its members are sworn to keep the group's activities and identity confidential. Newly inducted members each year pull a prank on the University and the student body. In the past, members have pranked the school by announcing an on campus early screening of the Star Wars Episode I trailer, only to greet the hundreds of students lined up outside the auditorium with U-Haul trailer with a poster that read: "Star Wars Trailer--Episode 1."Another notable prank includes the Society's 1997 prank, where it staged a memorial for Traveler IV, the University's horse mascot. Kevin Starr
Kevin Owen Starr (September 3, 1940 – January 14, 2017) was an American historian and California's state librarian, best known for his multi-volume series on the history of California, collectively called "Americans and the California Dream." After an impoverished childhood, he received degrees from various universities where he studied history and literature. Beginning in 1973, Starr wrote nine books on the history of California during his career, along with being professor or visiting lecturer at numerous California universities. Arthur S. Mazmanian (May 1, 1927 – March 22, 2019) was an American baseball coach and manager. He was the longtime baseball coach at Dorsey High School of Los Angeles, his alma mater, then spent 31 seasons (1968–98) as head coach of baseball at Mount San Antonio College of Walnut, California, where his teams won 709 games and had only two losing campaigns.
