Skoddetinden
Skoddetinden is a mountain in Vang Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. The tall mountain is located in the Filefjell mountain area, about southwest of the village of Vang i Valdres. The mountain has three main peaks. The tallest peak lies on the east side of the mountain and the southern peak marks the border between Vang Municipality and neighboring Hemsedal Municipality in Viken county. This peak is the northernmost point in Viken (and the old Buskerud county). The mountain is surrounded by several other notable mountains including Suletinden and Sulefjellet to the northwest; Høgeloft to the southwest; Øyre, KljÃ¥kinnknippene, and Ørnenosi to the southeast; and Tverrfjellet to the northeast. Innlandet is a county in Norway. It was created on 1 January 2020 with the merger of the old counties of Oppland and Hedmark (the municipalities of Jevnaker and Lunner were transferred to the neighboring county of Viken on the same date). The new county has an area of , making it the second largest county in Norway after Troms og Finnmark county. The county name translates to "The Inland" which reflects that the county is the only landlocked county in Norway. Høgeloft is a mountain on the border between the municipalities of Lærdal (in Vestland county) and Hemsedal (in Viken county), Norway. Buskerud
Buskerud () is a former county and a current electoral district in Norway, bordering Akershus, Oslo, Oppland, Sogn og Fjordane, Hordaland, Telemark and Vestfold. Viken is a county under disestablishment in Eastern Norway that was established on 1 January 2020 by the merger of Akershus, Buskerud and Østfold with the addition of three other municipalities. Viken was controversial from the onset, with an approval rating of about 20% in the region, and the merger was resisted by all the three counties. Viken has been compared to gerrymandering. The county executive of Viken determined in 2019, before the merger had taken effect, that the county's disestablishment is its main political goal, and the formal process to dissolve Viken was initiated by the county executive in right after the 2021 Norwegian parliamentary election in which parties seeking to reverse the merger won a majority. Hemsedal is a municipality in Viken county, Norway. It is part of the traditional region of Hallingdal. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Trøym. Hemsedal lies on the Norwegian National Road 52 (Rv 52). Hemsedal is located northwest of Oslo and from Bergen.
