Dan Skipper (born September 20, 1994) is an American football offensive tackle for the Detroit Lions of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Arkansas. High school career Skipper was born in Arvada, Colorado, a suburb of Denver. He played football at Ralston Valley High School, where he earned 5A all-state recognition as a senior. During his senior season, he helped get Ralston Valley to the state semifinals. Skipper received numerous scholarship offers for athletics only, ultimately choosing the University of Arkansas. College career As a freshman, Skipper played in all twelve of the Razorbacks' games, starting eight. He blocked three field goal attempts, a school single-season record. Peter Dennis Skipper (11 April 1958 – 23 April 2019) was an English footballer who played as a central defender. Skipper turned professional when he signed for Hull City in January 1979. He then had spells at Scunthorpe United and Darlington before returning to Hull in August 1982. He made over 300 appearances for the club, scoring 19 goals. Tuzar Skipper (born June 5, 1995) is an American football outside linebacker for the Arlington Renegades of the United Football League (UFL). He played college football at the University of Toledo. Susan Valentine (born 27 January 1951 in London), known until 2015 as Susan Skipper, is a British television, film and stage actress. She is best known for playing the parts of Victoria Bourne in ''The Cedar Tree'', Tina in ''West End Tales'' and Madeleine in ''Don't Wait Up (TV series), Don't Wait Up'', all on British television. Spencer John Skipper (c. 1848 – September 1903) was a journalist in South Australia who wrote and drew using the pseudonym "Hugh Kalyptus". History Skipper was born in South Australia a son of solicitor and artist John Michael Skipper (18 June 1815 – 7 December 1883) and his wife Frances Amelia Skipper, née Thomas (c. 1818 – 27 February 1855), whose father was Robert Thomas, founding editor of the South Australian Register. His parents both emigrated to South Australia aboard and married at the end of 1839. Around January 1837 his father painted the scene of the Proclamation of South Australia, to which he had been a witness. It shows The Old Gum Tree and Gouger's tent and hut, supporting the conventional view that the bent tree is the genuine site of the ceremony. Murder Of Ryan Skipper
Ryan Keith Skipper (April 28, 1981 – March 14, 2007) was an American man from Polk County, Florida, who was murdered on March 14, 2007, in what authorities declared a hate crime. Skipper's body was discovered on March 15 along a roadside in Wahneta, Florida. Two men were arrested in connection with the crime: William David Brown Jr., and Joseph Bearden, 20 and 21 years old at the time of the incident, respectively. The men were charged with first-degree murder and robbery. Bearden was convicted of second degree murder in addition to four additional counts on February 27, 2009. He was sentenced to life in prison for the murder charge, two 15-year terms and two five-year terms, all to be served concurrently, on the remaining four charges. On April 16, 2015, however, the Florida Supreme Court quashed the District Court's opinion and granted Bearden a new trial based on incorrect evidentiary rulings regarding a potential third-party confession.
