Tom Skerritt
Thomas Roy Skerritt (born August 25, 1933) is an American actor and director, who has appeared in over 170 film and television productions since 1962. The beginning of his film career coincided with the New Hollywood movement, with a breakthrough role as Duke Forrest in Robert Altman's ''M*A*S*H''. He then starred in notable films like '' The Turning Point'', ''Up in Smoke'', '' Ice Castles'', '' Alien'', '' The Dead Zone'', ''Top Gun'', and '' A River Runs Through It''. Ricky Skerritt
Richard 'Ricky' Skerritt (born 7 June 1956) is a Saint Kitts and Nevis politician affiliated to the St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party. He held several portfolios in the country's ministry from 2004 to 2015. He has also been closely associated with cricket in the Caribbean and has acted as the manager of West Indies cricket team. In March 2019, he was elected as the president of Cricket West Indies, along with his running mate, Dr. Kishore Shallow as vice president when they defeated the incumbents president Dave Cameron and vice president Emmanuel Nanthan by margins of 8–4 in a secret ballot. Paddy Skerritt
Patrick Joseph Skerritt (29 May 1926 – 21 November 2001) was an Irish professional golfer. Skerritt was born in Lahinch, County Clare. He won many tournaments during his career, most of them in his home country, with his biggest success being the 1970 Alcan International. He was also the club professional for over 30 years at St. Anne's Golf Club, situated on Bull Island in Dublin Bay. Anton Skerritt
Anton Skerritt (born January 3, 1964) is a Trinidadian/Canadian former sprinter, and soccer player. As a sprinter he competed in the 1984 Summer Olympics, 1988 Summer Olympics, 1987 World Championships in Athletics, 1986 Commonwealth Games, and the 1989 Jeux de la Francophonie. As a soccer player he played in the Canadian National Soccer League, and the Canadian Professional Soccer League. After his retirement from professional sports he became a vice principal for Vaughan Secondary School in Vaughan, Ontario. Athletics career In 1982, Skerritt began playing soccer at the college level with Howard University. After a recommendation from an American national track and field team coach he switched to track and field. He was chosen to represent Trinidad & Tobago in the 1984 Summer Olympics to compete in Men's 400 metres, and the Men's 4×400 metres Relay. Shirley Skerrit-Andrew
Shirley Skerrit-Andrew is an economist and diplomat from Saint Kitts, St Kitts, who was appointed Ambassador of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States to the European Union on 30 October 2008. At her appointment she became the federation's first non-resident woman ambassador. She held the appointment until 2013, when she was succeeded by Len Ishmael. As the first appointment to a newly created role, she took up her post as High Commissioner to Canada in 2016, with a brief to focus on renewable energy technologies. She was succeeded in the role by Sherry Tross, who was appointed in 2018. In 2016 she was listed as one of Saint Kitts and Nevis, St Kitts and Nevis' '40 Most Powerful Women'. The Tribes of Galway () were 14 merchant families who dominated the political, commercial and social life of the city of Galway in western Ireland between the mid-13th and late 19th centuries. They were the families of Athy, Blake, Bodkin, Browne, Darcy/D’Arcy, Deane, Font, French, Joyce, Kirwan, Lynch, Martin, Morris and Skerritt.
