Skellefteå AIK (women)
Skellefteå AIK are an ice hockey team in the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL). They play in Skellefteå, a city on the northeastern coast of Sweden, at the Skellefteå Kraft Arena. The team was first established ahead of the 2002–03 season but was dissolved for financial reasons in 2008. Reestablished in 2017, the present iteration of the team earned promotion to the SDHL in 2023–24 SDHL season#Qualification, 2024. History 2002–2008 Skellefteå AIK Hockey first established a representative women's team prior to the 2002–03 season. At that time, no national league for women's ice hockey in Sweden existed and the highest level of competition was regional. Through the regional competitions, teams could qualify for the Swedish Championship in women's ice hockey (), a national tournament that was played annually in March. Skellefteå (, locally ) is a Cities in Sweden, city in Västerbotten County, Sweden, with a population of 36,388. It is the seat of Skellefteå Municipality, which had 77,322 inhabitants in 2024. Göteborg HC
Göteborg Hockey Club, abbreviated as Göteborg HC or GHC, are an ice hockey club in Angered, a borough of Gothenburg () in southwestern Sweden. They played in the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL), the top Swedish women's hockey league, during 2017 to November 2022. In early November 2022, the club withdrew from the SDHL. History Göteborg HC was founded in 2014 and its representative team earned promotion to the SDHL in 2017. The team finished the regular season in last place during each of the five seasons they completed in the SDHL but they managed to avoid relegation each time. The club earned its first win in the SDHL in November 2017, with a 4–2 victory over SDE Hockey. Laura Lerchová (born 13 June 2000) is a Czech ice hockey forward, currently playing in the Svenska spel Damhockeyligan (SDHL) with Skellefteå AIK. Playing career Lerchová made her senior women's league debut with SK Karviná during the 2014–15 season of the Czech Women's Extraliga. She continued with SK Karviná through the 2017–18 season and concurrently played with the under-16 (U16) men's team of HC Oceláři Třinec in the , the highest-level national U16 league in the Czech Republic. At age seventeen, she signed a two-season contract with MODO Hockey of the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL). Janka Hlinka
Janka Hlinka or Janka Hlinková (born 31 October 1995) is a Slovak-American ice hockey forward and member of the Slovak national team, currently playing in the European Women's Hockey League (EWHL) with ŠKP Bratislava. She previously played in the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF) with the Connecticut Whale. Her college ice hockey career was played at Middlebury College, where she won three New England Small College Athletic Conference championships. SDE Hockey are an ice hockey club in the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL). They play at Enebybergs Ishall in the Enebyberg community of Danderyd Municipality in Metropolitan Stockholm. History The club was formed in 2007 from the merger of the ice hockey sections of Stocksunds IF, Danderyds SK, and Enebybergs IF, the initials of which form the club's name. The club first earned promotion to the SDHL in 2014. They have stayed in the league since, although were forced to play in the relegation series in each of their first five SDHL seasons.
