Sjællandske Medier is a regional Denmark, Danish media company with activities on the island of Zealand (outside Copenhagen) and headquarters in Ringsted, Denmark. It publishes the newspapers ''Dagbladet'', ''Frederiksborg amtsavis'' and ''Sjællandkse'' as well as a number of local weekly publications and has also activities in local radio and television, advertisement and book publishing. History The modern company originates from the merger of Næstved Tidende and Sjællandske Tidende in 1986. The company A/S Sjællandske Dagblade was established in 1990. Ringsted
Ringsted is a city located centrally in the Danish island of Zealand. It is the seat of a municipality of the same name. Ringsted is situated approximately from Copenhagen. History Ringsted was the site of ''Sjællands Landsting'' (lit. ''Zealand's county thing'') during the Middle Ages, which in 1584 moved to St. Bendt's church and became known as ''Sjællandsfar Landsting''. In 1805 it moved to Copenhagen and was renamed Østre Landsret, and is still active under this name. In 1131, Canute Lavard was killed in Haraldsted forest, leading to outbreaks of civil war. The church was consecrated in 1170. In front of the church is the spacious town square leading to the shopping streets with shops and boutiques. The town arms goes back to 1421. Vordingborg
Vordingborg () is a market town and old ferry town on the south coast of the island of Zealand in Denmark. Because of three large estates surrounding the town, a coherent urban development has not been possible, which is the reason why three satellite towns (former villages) have emerged around the town. Rotary Printing Press
A rotary printing press is a printing press in which the images to be printed are curved around a cylinder. Printing can be done on various substrates, including paper, cardboard, and plastic. Stege, Denmark
Stege is the largest town on the island of Møn in south-eastern Denmark. In January 2025, its population was 3,765. Stege is now part of Vordingborg Municipality and belongs to Region Zealand. Once a prosperous herring fishing port, tourism is now important to the local economy. Jyderup
Jyderup is an old town, with a population of 4,300 (1 January 2025), in Holbæk Municipality, northwestern Zealand (Denmark), Zealand in Denmark. It is situated roughly halfway between the larger cities of Kalundborg and Holbæk on the west and east, respectively, and is surrounded by forest and farmland. Haslev is a railway town in the southern part of the island of Zealand, Denmark, located about southwest of Copenhagen. It has a population of 12,634 (1 January 2025), and is the largest town and municipal seat of Faxe Municipality in Region Zealand. Haslev has six public schools: two boarding schools, a folk high school, a technical school, a college of education, and a sixth-form college.
