Sivappu Sooriyan
''Sivappu Sooriyan'' () is a 1983 Indian Tamil-language action film directed by Muktha Srinivasan, starring Rajinikanth, Radha and Saritha. The film, released on 27 May 1983, was a box office failure. Plot Vijay, a merchant navy officer, comes home on leave to meet his sister Selvi and her husband Vishwanthan but finds them missing. In his search for them, he bumps into Chitra who falls in love with him. With Chitra's help, Vijay is able to find Selvi, but is shocked when he learns that her husband has vanished and she has stopped speaking. Unable to make Selvi speak but determined to resolve her troubles, Vijay with the help of his friend Vidyasagar discovers that Vishwanathan had testified in court against a dangerous criminal and is being held hostage by his associates. Vijay decides to disguise himself as a smuggler and gets into the underworld. Whether he is able to retrieve Vishwanathan and bring normalcy to Selvi's life forms the rest of the story. Muktha Srinivasan
Muktha Srinivasan (1929 – 2018) was an Indian film director and producer. Personal life V. Srinivasan was born in Malapuram on 31 October 1929 in a Tamil Brahmin family. His parents were Venkatachariar and Chellamma. He followed all Brahmin rituals sincerely throughout his life. He remained a vegetarian. His elder brother is Muktha Ramaswamy and his sister is Revathi. He married Prema in 1951. He has three children Muktha S. Sundar, also a director, Mukhta Ravi and Maya.Muktha srinivasan is the founder of Muktha films. His elder grandson Suseendran who acted in movies like Kashmora and Echarikkai is now the Managing director of Muktha films. ''Kalki'' is a Tamil-language weekly magazine published from Chennai, India. The magazine was established by Kalki Krishnamurthy, a popular Tamil novelist and Indian freedom fighter, in 1941. Vasudevan (15 June 1944 – 20 February 2011), known as Malaysia Vasudevan, was a Malaysian-Indian playback singer and actor in Tamil cinema. Early life Malaysia Vasudevan's parents were from Palakkad. Chattu Nair of Ottappalam and Ammalu of Polpulli, along with their families migrated to British Malaya in search of a livelihood. After a few years, Chattu Nair married Ammalu in an arranged marriage. Vasudevan was born on 15 June 1944 as their eighth and youngest child. Tiruchirapalli Srinivasan Rangarajan, professionally credited by his pseudonym Vaali (born 29 October 1931 – 18 July 2013) was an Indian poet who is the highest songs wrote lyricist in cinema and whose works were in Tamil, had a five-decade long association with the Tamil film industry, wrote over 15,000 songs.
