Sivaji Productions was an Indian film production and distribution company based in Chennai. Established in 1958, it was involved mainly in Tamil and Hindi-language films until 2010. History Sivaji Productions company is owned by Prabhu and his brother Ramkumar Ganesan. It is named after their father, the thespian Sivaji Ganesan. Notable films released under their banner includes Puthiya Paravai, Vietnam Veedu, Thanga Pathakkam, Thirisoolam'', Aruvadai Naal, Vetri Vizha, Mannan and Chandramukhi''. Sivaji Productions was started in 1956 by Dr. Sivaji Ganesan and his brother Sri V.C. Shanmugam. It was first started as a distribution company and distributed many of Dr. Sivaji's movies. In 1958, Sivaji Productions co-produced its first film Amardeepam which was a Hindi remake of Amardeep. Its first solo production was Puthiya Paravai in 1964 with Dr. Sivaji in the lead role. Ramkumar Ganesan
Ramkumar Ganesan (born 12 January 1955) is an Indian film producer and actor. He is the head of Sivaji Productions, a film productions company that has produced several films, particularly featuring his father Sivaji Ganesan or his younger brother Prabhu. Early life Born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, Ramkumar is the eldest son of Tamil actor Sivaji Ganesan and the older brother of Tamil actor Prabhu, Shanti and Thenmozhi. He graduated with a degree in business administration from Vivekananda College and began working at the production company Sivaji Productions established by his father. Career Ramkumar took over Sivaji Productions after his uncle V. C. Shanmugham had died. The company is being led by Ramkumar along with his brother Prabhu. ''Aruvadai Naal'' () is a 1986 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by G. M. Kumar in his debut. The film stars Prabhu and Pallavi. It was released on 1 November 1986. The film was remade in Telugu as '' Muvva Gopaludu'' (1987). Plot Nirmala, an orphan Christian girl, lives in a convent and she wants to become a nun. ''Amar Deep'' () is a 1958 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film directed by T. Prakash Rao, under Sivaji Productions. Saran (director) K. V. Saravanan, better known as Saran, is an Indian film director active mainly in Tamil cinema. He was once an assistant to K. Balachander. He owns production house called ''Gemini Productions.'' Early life Saran's father T. Kulandaivelayudam worked with the directorate of examinations and many of his relatives are teachers. He finished diploma in visual communications from the College of Arts And Crafts and became an instructor in textile designing. Saran worked as instructor for a year and, during this time, he did some work with a lady called Mohana who was art director for K. Balachander.
