Sivagamiyin Selvan
''Sivakamiyin Selvan'' () is a 1974 Indian Tamil-language film directed by C. V. Rajendran, starring Sivaji Ganesan, Vanisri and Latha. It is a remake of the Hindi film '' Aradhana'' (1969). The film was released on 26 January 1974. Plot Indian Air Force pilot Flight Lieutenant Ashok is in love with Sivakami. They have a secret wedding and Sivakami becomes pregnant, but Ashok dies in a plane crash soon after. Looking for support, Sivakami tells her father about her pregnancy, but he dies too, leaving Sivakami alone with her newborn child, who she names Ananth. Fearing being shamed for having an illegitimate child, Sivakami places Ananth in an orphanage, with the idea of adopting him the next day, thus concealing his origin. Before she can adopt Ananth, a rich man whose wife had already lost many children and had lost one again comes to the orphanage, and adopts Ananth. Sachin Bhowmick (17 July 1930 – 12 April 2011) was an Indian Hindi language, Hindi Screenwriter, film writer and Film director, director. Writing was his main work and he wrote stories or screenplays for over 94 films. He is best remembered for directing the light romantic black comedy classic ''Raja Rani (1973 film), Raja Rani'' (1973). He was also a regular contributor to ''Ultorath'', a Bengali language, Bengali magazine on cinema. A raga ( ; , ; ) is a melodic framework for improvisation in Indian classical music akin to a melodic mode. It is central to classical Indian music. Each raga consists of an array of melodic structures with musical motifs; and, from the perspective of the Indian tradition, the resulting music has the ability to "colour the mind" as it engages the emotions of the audience. Each raga provides the musician with a musical framework within which to improvise. Pulavar Pulamaipithan (6 October 1935 – 8 September 2021) was an Indian scholar, poet and lyricist who got recognition through the song "Naan yaar nee yaar" which was featured in the Tamil film '' Kudiyirundha Koyil'' in 1968. He briefly served as the presidium chairman of AIADMK from 2002 to 2003, when he resigned citing ill-health. Biography Pulamaipithan was born in Irugur, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu on 6 October 1935.
