''Sister Maria'' (Hungarian: ''Mária nővér'') is a 1937 Hungarian drama film directed by Viktor Gertler and starring Éva Szörényi, Pál Jávor and Lili Berky. It was shot at the Hunnia Studios in Budapest and on location around Lillafüred. The film's sets were designed by the art director Márton Vincze. Sándor Svéd
Sándor Svéd (28 May 1906, Budapest — 9 June 1979), also known as Alexander Sved in the United States, was a Hungarian baritone who had an active international career in operas and concerts from 1928 until his retirement from the stage in 1958. He performed lead roles at several important opera houses, including the Metropolitan Opera, the Vienna State Opera, and the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. In 1943 he performed the role of Folco in the world premiere of Italo Montemezzi's '' L'incantesimo''. He made several recordings during his career, both on record and on radio; including multiple performances for the Metropolitan Opera radio broadcasts. Gyula Justh (13 January 1850 – 9 October 1917) was a Hungarian jurist and politician, who served as Speaker of the House of Representatives between 1905 and 1909. Biography He was born in Necpál, Turóc County (today: ''Necpaly, Slovakia'') as a child of István Justh and Margit Pákozdy. After finishing law studies he became Chief Constable of Gyula District however the governing Liberal Party overthrew him because of his thoughts of independence against Austro-Hungarian Compromise. After that he returned to his estate in Tornya (today ''Turnu, Romania''). Later he farmed in his property in Csanád County. He was elected Member of Parliament for Makó in 1884. Hilde von Stolz (8 July 1903 in Segesvár, Nagy-Küküllő County, Austria-Hungary, now Romania – 16 December 1973 in Berlin) was an Austrian-German actress. Von Stolz attended the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna and made her debut at the local Kammerspielen. She subsequently performed at various theaters in Vienna and in the Theater am Schiffbauerdamm in Berlin. She made her debut in film in 1928 under the pseudonym "Helen Steels".
