Siskiyou Wilderness
The Siskiyou Wilderness is a federal wilderness area designated by the passage of the California Wilderness Act of 1984. Originally, the land area was The Northern California Coastal Wild Heritage Wilderness Act, Northern California Wild Heritage Act of 2006 added for the current total of . All of the wilderness is in Northern California and is managed by the U.S. Forest Service. The wilderness spans three national forests: the Rogue River–Siskiyou National Forest, Rogue River–Siskiyou, the Klamath National Forest, Klamath, and the Six Rivers National Forest, Six Rivers. The Siskiyou Mountains form one of the longest continuous crests in the Klamath Mountains region. Elevations range from to the summit of Preston Peak at above sea level.
