''Sirivennela'' (Telugu language, Telugu :సిరివెన్నల) () is a 1986 Indian Telugu language, Telugu-language romance film written and directed by K. Viswanath. The film stars Suhasini Maniratnam, Suhasini, Sarvadaman D. Banerjee, Sarvadaman Banerjee and Moon Moon Sen. The film has music composed by K. V. Mahadevan. The film won five Nandi Awards. The film was screened at the Asia Pacific Film Festival, the International Film Festival of India, the Moscow Film Festival and the Annapurna International School of Film and Media, AISFM Film Festival. The film was shot in Jaipur and Kerala. The film has Hariprasad Chaurasia's flute rendering and a cameo of drummer Sivamani (percussionist), Sivamani. Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry (born Chembolu Seetharama Sastry; 20 May 1955 – 30 November 2021) was an Indian poet and lyricist known for his works in Telugu cinema and Telugu theatre. He acquired the stage name Sirivennela after writing the lyrics for the 1986 film of same name. Sastry has garnered several awards including eleven Nandi Awards and six Filmfare Awards South for his work the most by any south Indian lyricist. He had penned lyrics for over 3,000 songs until 2020. In 2019, he was awarded the Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian award in India, for his contributions to the field of arts and aesthetics. Moon Moon Sen, also credited as Moonmoon Sen (born Srimati Sen; 28 March 1954), is an Indian actress, known for her works in Hindi, Bengali, Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Marathi films. Sainath Thotapalli (born 27 April 1956) is a well-known writer from the Telugu film industry (also known as Tollywood) and has written for 98 Telugu movies so far including Sitara, Swathimutyam, Swarnakamalam, Swayamkrushi, Sirivennela, Prema, Challenge, Marana Mrudangam, Pavitra Prema and Rakhi among others. Hariprasad Chaurasia
Hariprasad Chaurasia (born 1 July 1938) is an Indian music director and classical flautist, who plays the bansuri, in the Hindustani classical tradition. Early life Chaurasia was born in Allahabad (1938) (present day Prayagraj) in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. His mother died when he was six years old. Sarvadaman D. Banerjee (born 14 March 1965) is an Indian actor who works in Telugu and Hindi language films and television series. He is best known for playing Krishna in Ramanand Sagar's hit television series ''Krishna'' (1993-99). He played the title role in the films '' Adi Shankaracharya'' (1983), which won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film and ''Swami Vivekananda''. Anandan "Drums" Sivamani (born 1 December 1959) is an Indian percussionist. He plays many instruments including drums, octoban, darbuka, udukai, ghatam and kanjira. He performed drumming during the Indian Premier League in 2008 Indian Premier League, 2008 and 2010 Indian Premier League, 2010.
