The following is a list of channels on Sirius XM and Sirius XM Canada. There are over 150 full-time channels on Sirius XM, over 140 of which are on Sirius XM Canada. Not included are channels that are specifically used for live sports programming (most of the listed channels, mainly on News and Talk/Comedy, are usually preempted for sports play-by-play), as well as former music channels that were merged with a duplicate music channel after the merger. Pitbull's Globalization Radio
Pitbull's Globalization Radio is a Sirius XM Radio station playing current rhythmic/dance hits from around the globe. The channel, which is co-owned by American entertainer Pitbull and named after his 2014 album ''Globalization'', was launched on May 19, 2015. Details The channel's concept was inspired by Pitbull's musical influences and his love for rhythmic, R&B, hip hop, dance/EDM, and dance/pop hits from international acts. The combination of these elements, along with Pitbull's musical catalog, mix shows, and live sets, make up the core basis of the format. The playlist and presentation serves as a bridge between the rhythmic pop-focused Venus and the dance-intensive BPM. Top 20 on 20 (or just 20 on 20) was a commercial-free, interactive hit music satellite radio station. It was on channel 3 (previously 20) on Sirius XM Radio. The channel played everything new from rock to rap, with the songs chosen by online votes to the XM website. One could also vote their favorite songs by calling the station number (866-553-2020), or text messaging, Sirius XM Love moved from Sirius 3, XM 23 and Dish Network 6003 to Sirius XM Radio 17 and Dish Network 6017 as part of the May 4 channel lineup. The channel was completely automated by listener voting with no DJ interruption. Former DJs on 20 on 20 include Priestly (evenings) and Michelle (PM drive); both were previously DJs on The 90s on 9 (Michelle was then known as "Girl 2.0"). '60s Gold, formerly known as The '60s on 6 or The '60s, is a commercial-free, satellite radio station on the Sirius XM Radio platform. It plays music from the 1960s. Airing on XM since 2001, the channel became available to Sirius subscribers replacing '60s Vibrations on November 12, 2008, following the merger of the two companies. The station currently broadcasts on channel 73 of both services, as well as on Dish Network channel 6073. Like the other decades channels, '60s Gold works to recreate the feel of 1960s radio. '50s On 5
'50s Gold (formerly The '50s on 5 or just The '50s) is a commercial-free, satellite radio station on Sirius XM Radio channel 72, as well as on Dish Network channel 6005. From 2001 to 2008, the program director for XM's The '50s on 5 was Ken Smith, and its music director was Matt "the Cat" Baldassarri. Both men were dismissed from the channel in October 2008 following XM's merger with former rival Sirius. On November 12, 2008, The '50s on 5 was added to the Sirius platform, replacing the Sirius Gold channel. Acoustic music is music that solely or primarily uses instruments that produce sound through acoustic means, as opposed to electric or electronic means.
