Sintez is a Russian professional water polo club from Kazan, Russia. The club was formed in 1974 and plays in Russia's highest division since 1993. Revaz Chomakhidze (born 15 December 1973) is a Georgian water polo player who played on the silver medal squad at the 2000 Summer Olympics and the bronze medal squad at the 2004 Summer Olympics. Career The well-built player started his water polo career in Tbilisi, Georgia (country), Georgia (former Soviet Union) at the sportclub "Dinamo", where he was active between the years 1987-1993. His first coach was Vladimir Kutataladze. After studying at the Tbilisi State University of Georgia he joined the diplomatic Academy. Although he got a diploma "Master Sporta" Waterpolo (2002). Water Polo
Water polo is a competitive sport, competitive team sport played in water between two teams of seven players each. The game consists of four quarters in which the teams attempt to score goals by throwing the water polo ball, ball into the opposing team's goal (sport), goal. The team with more goals at the end of the game wins the match. Each team is made up of six field players and one Goalkeeper (water polo), goalkeeper. Excluding the goalkeeper, players participate in both offensive and defensive roles. It is typically played in an all-deep swimming pool, pool where players cannot touch the bottom. A game consists mainly of the players swimming to move about the pool, treading water (mainly using the eggbeater kick), passing the ball, and shooting at the goal. Irek Zinnourov
Irek Khaydarovich Zinnurov (; born 11 January 1969) is a Russian water polo player of Tatar origin who played on the silver medal squad at the 2000 Summer Olympics and the bronze medal squad at the 2004 Summer Olympics. He won four Russian titles as a captain of the Kazan club Sintez. After retirement from competitions, in 2010, he became its vice-president, and in 2011 its head coach. Zinnurov is married to his schoolmate; they have a son Emil, who also plays water polo. Nikolay Mikhaylovich Maksimov (; born 15 November 1972) is a Russian water polo goalkeeper, who played at the 1996 Summer Olympics, on the silver medal squad at the 2000 Summer Olympics and the bronze medal squad at the 2004 Summer Olympics. He was the top goalkeeper at the 2004 Olympics, with 67 saves. He competed as part of the Kazakhstan National Team at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Before his Olympic career, he won bronze medals at the world championships in 1994 and European championships in 1997. He graduated from the Moscow Institute of Pedagogy. Dejan Savić ( sr-cyr, Дејан Савић; born 24 April 1975) is a Serbian professional water polo coach and former player. During his playing career, he was part of two Olympic bronze medal squads, one for FR Yugoslavia at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, the other for Serbia at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, and one Olympic silver medal squad for Serbia and Montenegro at the 2004 Olympics in Athens. Savić started training with the Partizan water polo club at the age of five and he debuted for the first team (seniors) at the age of thirteen, while still a pupil in elementary school. His last club was VK Crvena zvezda where he was team captain. He retired from active playing at the end of the 2010/11 season. Danilo Ikodinović
Danilo “Dača” Ikodinović ( sr-cyrl, Данило Дача Икодиновић, born 4 October 1976) is a Serbian former professional water polo player who played on the bronze medal squad at the 2000 Summer Olympics (with Yugoslavia) and the silver medal squad at the 2004 Summer Olympics (with Serbia and Montenegro). He received a Golden Badge, award for the best athlete in Serbia and Montenegro. Club career He spent the 2005/06 season playing for VK Partizan.
