''Sinister Slaughter'' is the second full-length album by American death metal band Macabre (band), Macabre and was released in 1993 by Nuclear Blast Records. The cover artwork is a parody on the Beatles album ''Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band'' featuring the band members, serial killers and mass murderers. The album was re-released in 2000 in a digipak that included the songs off the ''Behind the Wall of Sleep (EP), Behind the Wall of Sleep'' EP as bonus tracks. The album's sound has been described as "very unique, offbeat murder Heavy metal music, metal." The album explores lyrical themes pertaining to serial killers. Peter Kürten
Peter Kürten (; 26 May 1883 – 2 July 1931) was a German serial killer, known as The Vampire of Düsseldorf and the Düsseldorf Monster, who committed a series of murders and sexual assaults between February and November 1929 in the city of Düsseldorf. In the years before these assaults and murders, Kürten had amassed a lengthy criminal record for offences including arson and attempted murder. He also confessed to the 1913 murder of a nine-year-old girl in Mülheim am Rhein and the attempted murder of a 17-year-old girl in Düsseldorf. Jack Gilbert Graham
John "Jack" Gilbert Graham (January 23, 1932 – January 11, 1957) was an American mass murderer who, on November 1, 1955, killed 44 people aboard United Airlines Flight 629 near Longmont, Colorado, using a dynamite time bomb. Graham planted the bomb in his mother's suitcase in an apparent move to murder her and claim $37,500 () worth of life insurance money from policies he purchased in the airport terminal just before the flight departure. John Wayne Gacy (March 17, 1942 – May 10, 1994) was an American serial killer and sex offender who raped, tortured and murdered at least thirty-three young men and boys in Norwood Park Township, Cook County, Illinois, Norwood Park Township, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. Howard Unruh
Howard Barton Unruh (January 21, 1921 – October 19, 2009) was an American mass murderer who shot and killed thirteen people during a twelve-minute walk through his neighborhood in Camden, New Jersey, on September 6, 1949 in an incident that became known as the Walk of Death. Michael Bethke is an American citizen from Calumet City, Illinois, who killed and decapitated Joseph Lesinski, his 49-year-old co-worker at the Burnham, Illinois, White Hen Pantry grocery store, on June 6, 1991. Described as having "chronic paranoid schizophrenia", Bethke was found not guilty by reason of insanity and sentenced to up to 49 years in a state mental institution. Albert DeSalvo
Albert Henry DeSalvo (September 3, 1931 – November 25, 1973) was an American murderer and rapist who was active in Boston, Massachusetts, in the early 1960s. James Edward Pough
James Edward "Pop" Pough (February 16, 1948 – June 18, 1990) was an American spree killer who killed eleven people in two separate attacks in Jacksonville, Florida, on June 17 and 18, 1990. Pough shot and killed two people at random on Jacksonville's Northside, wounded two teenagers, and robbed a convenience store.
