Simon Racaza
Simon "J.J." Racaza (born April 16, 1980, in Cebu City, Philippines) is a Filipino-American sport shooter who took silver in the Open division at the 2011 IPSC Handgun World Shoot and silver in the Production division at the 2014 Handgun World Shoot. He was also the number one qualifier of the US Gold Team for the 2010 ISSF World Shooting Championships. In 2010, Racaza competed in season one of History Channel's ''Top Shot'' marksmanship competition, finishing in third place. Racaza graduated from Seton Hall University with a degree in Business Management Information Systems. He formerly worked as an agent for the Department of Homeland Security with the Federal Air Marshal Service. He is also a double Grand Master in the USPSA. Racaza is part of Team Limcat, a team of professional competitive shooters sponsored by the company of the same name. Blake John Miguez (born November 1981) is an American politician. A Republican, he is a member of the Louisiana Senate. He previously served in the Louisiana House of Representatives from Iberia and Vermilion parishes. He won a special election against John Robert Bering on February 21, 2015, to succeed Simone B. Champagne, who resigned to become the chief administrative officer for the city of Youngsville in Lafayette Parish. In October 2023, Miguez was elected to the Louisiana Senate. The second season of the History Channel television series ''Top Shot'', titled ''Top Shot Reloaded'' commenced airing on February 8, 2011, and concluded on April 26, 2011. The season contained twelve episodes, and was filmed over a period of 35 days in the fall of 2010 in Santa Clarita, California. The winner of the season was American Chris Reed. The United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA) is the national governing body of practical shooting in the United States under the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC). Its over 35,000 active members and over 500 affiliated clubs make USPSA the largest practical shooting organization in the United States and the second largest region within IPSC after the Russian Federation of Practical Shooting.
