Simon Mallory
Simon Mallory is an Australian actor who played Chris Cousens in the Australian soap opera '' Neighbours'' in 2004 and 2005. He was a series regular on the Nine Network late night sketch comedy series '' Comedy Inc - The Late Shift''. Following high school graduation, he spent some time working as a stunt performer at a Japanese amusement park where he learned to speak Japanese. He has acted on stage, including for the Melbourne Workers Theatre and the Australian Shakespeare Company. ''Neighbours'' is an Australian television soap opera, which has aired since 18 March 1985. It was created by television executive Reg Watson. The Seven Network commissioned the show following the success of Watson's earlier soap '' Sons and Daughters.'' Although successful in Melbourne, ''Neighbours'' underperformed in the Sydney market and was cancelled by Seven four months after it began airing. ''Comedy Inc.'' was an Australian sketch comedy television series, which ran on the Nine Network from 19 February 2003 to 26 December 2007. The series was produced by Crackerjack Productions. It first premiered in February 2003 in the new wave of Australian sketch comedy shows being launched across the free-to-air channels along with '' Big Bite'' and ''skitHOUSE''. Melbourne Workers Theatre
Melbourne Workers Theatre (MWT) was an Australian theatre company based in Melbourne, Australia. The company was founded in 1987 by Patricia Cornelius, Steve Payne and Michael White. It specialised in producing work from a left-wing stance, seeking to create work that "articulates flaws in the mainstream perception of Australian culture and identity, contesting how Australians think about themselves as a nation and as a people". Indigenous actor and director (later playwright) Jada Alberts participated in various projects with the theatre. Danny Alder, sometimes credited as Danny Allder, is a UK-based Australian film, television and theatre actor. Education He attended the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts at the Edith Cowan University in Mount Lawley, Western Australia, and the Aboriginal Centre for the Performing Arts (http://www.acpa.net.au) in Brisbane. Career Alder worked consistently in Australia on both stage and screen in Brisbane, Queensland and Melbourne and decided to move to the UK in 2007.
