Simon Clark (novelist)
Simon Clark (born 20 April 1958) is a horror novelist from Doncaster, England. He is the author of the novel ''The Night of the Triffids'', the novella ''Humpty's Bones'', and the short story ''Goblin City Lights'', which have all won awards. Most of his stories are based in Yorkshire, his home county. He also uses a technique that he calls "The Art of Wandering". The idea for ''Goblin City Lights'' arose from wandering in a London graveyard. His other novels include ''Blood Crazy'', recently extrapolated into a series, ''On Deadly Ground'' (Formerly ''King Blood''), the ''Vampyrrhic'' series, ''Cold Legion'' and ''Sherlock Holmes: Lord Of Damnation''. Simon Clark (born 20 August 1960) is a British television sports presenter and correspondent primarily on the television programme, ''BBC Look North (East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire), Look North''. Before 2002, he worked for the BBC in Leeds and as the sports presenter for BBC Radio Sheffield. He worked there from 1991 to 1997. He also broadcast at Radio Hallam FM from 1988 to 1991 having started his career in the late 1970s at Kingstown Radio. before moving onto 96.9 Viking FM, Viking Radio in Hull when it launched in 1984. Simon Clark (Australian Footballer)
Simon Clark (born 16 February 1967) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Richmond in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Career Clark was a ruckman, recruited to Richmond from Notting Hill. He made 27 league appearances for Richmond, 12 in 1986, 11 in 1987 and four in 1988. Following his career at Richmond, Clark played for Springvale in the Victorian Football Association, later the Victorian Football League. He made an immediate impression at Springvale in 1989, with a best and fairest and fourth placing in the J. J. Liston Trophy. In the 1992 VFA season he finished equal second behind Joe Rugolo in the Liston Trophy, then in 1993 was equal third. He was a member of Springvale's 1995 premiership team, in the final season of VFA football and would be involved in three further premierships. Simon Clark (born 12 March 1967) is an English former professional footballer. He is currently the Lead Coach of the Under-18's AFC Wimbledon Academy team. As a player, he turned out for Lincoln City, Boston Town, Holbeach United, King's Lynn, Hendon, Stevenage Borough, Peterborough United, Leyton Orient, Colchester United and Maldon Town. He has also spent time as manager of Singaporean side Woodlands Wellington where he was also a player and Leyton.
