Simon Bryant (chef)
Simon Bryant (born 14 February 1965, Exeter, Devon, England) is an Australian chef. Bryant featured alongside South Australian Maggie Beer on the ABC program ''The Cook and the Chef'. The show aired more than 150 episodes over four years, attracting more than 600,000 viewers nationally per week. Bryant was with Hilton Adelaide for more than 10 years, commencing as a Commis Chef, followed by 18 months as a Chef de Partie in 'The Grange' with Cheong Liew and rapidly working his way up to Senior Sous Chef of 'The Brasserie'. 'The Brasserie' was his break, where he was promoted to Executive Chef overseeing 33 staff, 2 of the state's leading restaurants, a quick service deli, and as South Australia's largest hotel, the largest catering and room service operations in the state. ''Beat The Chef'' is a television show shown on ABC-TV in Australia. It is a part game show part cooking show where two contestants cook a meal out of strange ingredients within 25 minute time limit. This show was influenced by the world-popular Japanese cooking show Iron Chef. Poh Ling Yeow made her television debut on the show in 2005. The show was cancelled in 2006. ''The Cook and the Chef'' was screened on ABC1 and was filmed in the Barossa Valley, South Australia, with the first episode going to air on 8 February 2006. Exeter

Maggie Beer (born Margaret Anne Ackerman, 19 January 1945) is an Australian chef, food author, restaurateur, and food manufacturer. Beer was one of the judges on '' The Great Australian Bake Off'' alongside Matt Moran until 2022 and is also a regular guest on ''MasterChef Australia''. Early life Maggie Beer was born in Sydney in January 1945, to Ronald Ackerman, whose German ancestry was from his paternal grandparents, and Doreen Carter, who had English ancestry from her maternal great-grandparents. Her father's ancestors were gold miners in Hill End in regional New South Wales. Cheong Liew
Cheong Liew (born 1949) is a Malaysian-born Australian chef. He moved from Malaysia to Australia in 1969 to study electrical engineering, but instead became a chef. Famous for experimentation with new ingredients and formats, Liew has also been important in the development of Asian-Australian fusion cuisine. Early life Cheong Liew was born in 1949 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. His father was a farmer who also owned several restaurants. Following the 13 May incident, Liew's family emigrated to Adelaide, South Australia. In Adelaide, Liew's passion for cooking was ignited while he tended the grill part-time at the Greek restaurant Iliad in Whitmore Square. Earth Hour is a worldwide movement organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature, World Wildlife Fund (WWF).
