Simon Anthony Lee Brett Order of the British Empire, OBE Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature, FRSL (born 28 October 1945 in Worcester Park, Surrey, England) is a British author of detective fiction, a playwright, and a producer-writer for television and radio. As an author, he is best known for his mystery series featuring A Charles Paris Mystery, Charles Paris, Mrs Pargeter, Fethering, and Blotto & Twinks. His radio credits have included ''The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (radio series), The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy'', ''I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue'' and ''Just a Minute''. Geoffrey Willans
Herbert Geoffrey Willans, RNVR, (4 February 1911 – 6 August 1958), an English writer and journalist, is best known as the creator of Nigel Molesworth, the "goriller of 3B" and "curse of St. Custard's", as in the four books with illustrations by Ronald Searle. Willans was born in Smyrna (now İzmir) in Turkey, where his father was a superintendent of the Ottoman Aidan Railway. He was educated at Blundells School in Tiverton, and became a schoolmaster there. He also taught at Sutherland House, Surrey and Carn Brea School, Bromley. He enjoyed sailing in small boats. Baldi is a murder mystery series first broadcast on the UK radio station BBC Radio 4. ''After Henry'' is a British sitcom that aired on ITV from 4 January 1988 to 24 August 1992. It was based on the radio series of the same name that was broadcast on BBC Radio 4 between 1985 and 1989. Like the radio series, the TV series was written by Simon Brett, and starred Prunella Scales and Joan Sanderson. It was made for the ITV network by Thames Television. The opening and closing music is "Three-Quarter Blues", by George Gershwin. It ran for two series on ITV, from 1979 to 1980 and was an attempt at a TV version of '' The Burkiss Way''.
