Simion Ghimpu
Simion Ghimpu (May 24, 1939 in Coloniţa – July 27, 2010) was a writer from Moldova. Biography Simion Ghimpu was born to Irina and Toader Ghimpu on May 24, 1939; he had four siblings: Gheorghe Ghimpu, Gheorghe, Visarion, Valentina, and Mihai Ghimpu, Mihai. Simion Ghimpu graduated from the Moldova State University in 1964 and got a PhD from the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts from Moscow in 1969. Simion Ghimpu worked for the Art Institute of Chişinău (1969–2000). Simion Ghimpu is a member of the Moldovan Writers' Union and a lyricist. Simion Ghimpu created lyrics for over 100 songs, together with composers Eugen Doga, Ion Aldea Teodorovici, M. Dolgan, I. Enache, O. Milștein, Al. Sochireanschi, N. Carajia, A. Bivol, M. Oțel, C. Noroc
Noroc is a music group from Moldova, created in 1967 by Mihai Dolgan. History "Noroc" became very popular in the USSR Fără Mihai Dolgan, ''Timpul'', March 20, 2008 after the release of their first album in 1968 which included the following songs: * "De ce plâng chitarele" (music: Mihai Dolgan; lyrics: Efim Crimerman) * "Cântă un artist" (music: Mihai Dolgan; lyrics: Efim Crimerman) In 1970, "Noroc" won the "public sympathy" prize at the "Bratislava Lyra" festival . Traian Băsescu
Traian Băsescu (; born 4 November 1951) is a conservative Romanian politician who served as President of Romania from 2004 to 2014. Ion Ciocanu (18 January 1940 – 2 July 2021) was a Moldovan literary critic. Biography Ion Ciocanu was born on January 18, 1940, in Tabani, Briceni, then in Romania. Ion Ciocanu graduated from Moldova State University in 1962 and got his PhD in 1965.
