Silviana Sfiringu
Silviana-Maria Sfiringu-Gheorghe (born 1 September 2004 in Medgidia, Romania) is a Romanian artistic gymnast. During her junior career Sfiringu won the Romanian Junior Championships 3 times (2017, 2018 and 2019). She is a two-time senior national champion (2018 and 2020). She was the first junior gymnast in Romanian Gymnastics history to win the all-around national competition in 2018 when she was 14 years old, with Ioana Stănciulescu finishing second. At the 2019 Romanian Championships in Ploiești, Romania, Sfiringu and Stănciulescu repeated the historic moment, this time with Stănciulescu taking the gold and Sfiringu the silver medal. In November 2020 she became the 10th Romanian gymnast to win the title for the second time and the second after Simona Amânar to lose the title and re-win it a year later. The 2019 Junior World Artistic Gymnastics Championships were the inaugural Artistic Gymnastics Junior World Championships. They were held in Győr, Hungary from 27 June to 30 June 2019. Gymnastics Uneven Bars
The uneven bars or asymmetric bars is an artistic gymnastics apparatus. It is made of a steel frame. The bars are made of fiberglass with wood coating, or less commonly wood. The English abbreviation for the event in gymnastics scoring is UB or AB, and the apparatus and event are often referred to simply as "bars". The bars are placed at different heights and widths, allowing the gymnast to transition from bar to bar. A gymnast usually adds white chalk to the hands so that they can grip the bar better. The vault is an artistic gymnastics apparatus which gymnasts perform on, as well as the skill performed using that apparatus. Vaulting is also the action of performing a vault. Both male and female gymnasts perform the vault. The English abbreviation for the event in gymnastics scoring is VT. Maria Sorana Ceplinschi (born 12 August 2005) is a Romanian artistic gymnast. Career Junior At the 2019 Romanian Junior Championships, Ceplinschi won silver medals on both vault and floor exercise, and she finished fourth in the all-around. Then at the Senior Romanian Championships, she finished twelfth in the all-around, fifth on vault, and seventh on floor exercise. Then at the Horizon Cup, Ceplinschi won gold medals on every event except for the vault. At the 2020 Romanian Championships, Ceplinschi only competed on vault and uneven bars, and she finished fourth in both event finals. She competed at the 2020 Junior European Championships, and the Romanian team won the gold medal by more than ten points ahead of Ukraine and Hungary. Gymnastics at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo was held in three categories: artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics and trampolining. 2021 European Artistic Gymnastics Championships
The 9th European Men's and Women's Artistic Gymnastics Individual Championships were held from 21–25 April 2021 at St. Jakobshalle in Basel, Switzerland. The 2021 European Championships were an Olympic qualifying event, with two individual spots available for both disciplines. Russia earned a non-nominative quota spot in both disciplines, while Turkey's Adem Asil and Romania's Larisa Iordache qualified nominative berths for themselves in men's and women's artistic gymnastics, respectively. The original qualifiers, the 2020 European Men's and 2020 European Women's Championships, were undesignated as such in light of the COVID-19 pandemic in Europe. Ondine Achampong (born 10 February 2004) is a British artistic gymnast who was part of the women's team that won silver at the 2022 World Championships. She won a gold medal with the English team at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, and individually, Achampong won silver medals in the all-around and on floor exercise. She is the 2022 European team and balance beam silver medalist. She is the 2021 British all-around champion and the 2022 British all-around silver medalist.
