Silvia Hauer
Silvia Hauer is a German operatic mezzo-soprano. A member of the ensemble of the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden since 2015, she has performed leading roles such as Cherubino in Mozart's ''Le nozze di Figaro'', Rosina in Rossini's ''Il Barbiere di Siviglia'', Bizet's Carmen, and the title role in ''Der Rosenkavalier'' by Richard Strauss. Her concert repertoire includes Oskar Gottlieb Blarr's ''Jesus-Passion'' and Verdi's Requiem. Career Hauer was born in Kehl. She studied at the Musikhochschule Freiburg and the University of Music in Vienna. She won the competition Jugend musiziert. In the 2010–2011 season, she appeared as the third wood sprite in Dvořák's ''Rusalka'' at the Komische Oper Berlin and as Bolette in at the Theater Heidelberg. In 2011, she won the Bundeswettbewerb Gesang competition. Kehl
Kehl (; ) is a city with around 38,000 inhabitants in the southwestern Germany, German state of Baden-Württemberg. It lies in the region of Baden on the Rhine River, at the confluence with the smaller Kinzig (Rhine), Kinzig River, directly opposite the French and Alsace, Alsatian city of Strasbourg. ''Eugene Onegin'' (, ), Op. 24, is an opera (designated as "lyrical scenes") in 3 acts (7 scenes), composed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. ''Alcina'' (Händel-Werke-Verzeichnis, HWV 34) is a 1735 opera by George Frideric Handel. Handel used the libretto of ''L'isola di Alcina'', a work set to music in 1728 in Rome by Riccardo Broschi, which he had acquired a year later during his travels in Italy. It was first performed on 26 January 1790 at the Burgtheater in Vienna, Austria. Kent George Nagano (born November 22, 1951) is an American conductor and opera administrator. Since 2015, he has been ''Generalmusikdirektor'' (GMD) of the Hamburg State Opera (until 2025). Early life and education Nagano was born in Berkeley, California, while his parents were in graduate school at the University of California, Berkeley. He is a '' sansei'' (third-generation) Japanese-American. He grew up in Morro Bay, a city on the Central Coast of California in San Luis Obispo County. He studied sociology and music at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
